London CallingStarting December 5, 2009, British Airways will offer five flights a week between Innsbruck and London Gatwick. Flight time on the Airbus A319 (126 seats) is just under two hours. This new route is a valuable addition for both sides: while many Britons flock to the ski areas in the Tyrolean mountains, many Austrians are drawn to the pulsing English metropolis. Founded in 1924, British Airways is the second-largest international airline. Together with its Franchise, Codeshare and oneworld alliance partners, BA's 245 planes fly to over 300 destinations every day, transporting some 33 million passengers a year.
